Potential boom in future supersonic air travel needs to be safe
UNSW Science has created an article regarding the book including some discussions Professor Melhem is currently having with NASA. It discusses the Concorde fatality, and also important design issues not addressed even after the Concorde crash.
Supersonic Effects on Rivets
This book is authored by Professor Melhem (lead author), and his co-authors Professor Munroe (prior Deputy Dean of Science) & Mr. Vithal (Aerospace student). It has been published by Taylor & Francis (New York, USA) on the 1st of November 2024, and it is titled "Supersonic Effects on Rivets".
